They provide the same information.. The question is which one is best to use to better understand the content that is given. Even though reading the text version of the convention provides one with useful information, utilizing a photo essay version provides one with a more memorable way to learn all of the many articles from the convention. What's nice about a photo essay version is that it provides a slideshow along with a variety of different images in relation to the article number written just below it. The text versions makes one as a reader uninterested in the work when there's no image and when the context is written in small black and white long sentences.
in addition, there appears to be a general relationship with the individual articles and the photo used. For instance, in Article 3&10 " a child shall not be separated from his or her parents against their will
[and shall be permitted to cross national borders] for
family reunification ". The photo essay version provides an image of a child alongside his father and has the article written just below the image. Seeing this picture will create a memory in our brain so when the time to remember what Article3&10 represent it shall be easier to remember what it means because of what the image given represented.
The image used to represent this article go hand in hand
a child who is seeking refugee status or who is
a refugee
[shall] receive appropriate protection and humanitarian assistance
. One of 7.5 million Afghan refugees in 2001, Pakistan.... This is a perfect example to go with the article because by the look of the young women's face it shows the suffrage she and her family and community go through on regular basis which always the best motivate for seeking a better place to live and better future for their next generations.
